Abstract

Studies show mixed results on gender differences in healthy food choices and suggest that decision making is related to age (especially Generation Z and Millennials) rather than gender. These explanations highlight the need for more research to uncover the specific reasons behind gender differences in food preferences, as well as the need for research on the age of food preferences. Addressing these differences is important for the validity and applicability of research and ultimately guides strategies to improve the health of different groups.
