The planning and management of construction projects play a vital role in determining the success of any structural development, from residential buildings to large-scale infrastructure. Effective project management and comprehensive planning processes help mitigate risks, optimize resources, control costs, and ensure timely completion. This review explores key methodologies, challenges, and innovations in the planning and management of construction, drawing on case studies and recent technological advancements in the field. Additionally, it emphasizes the importance of integrating traditional project management principles with emerging technologies such as Building Information Modeling (BIM), artificial intelligence (AI), and drones. The adoption of sustainable practices and proactive risk management strategies are also discussed, showcasing how these elements contribute to project efficiency and resilience. Through the analysis of successful and problematic case studies, the article sheds light on best practices that can guide future construction projects toward achieving their objectives while maintaining quality and compliance.
