Biomedical nanoscience is a transformative field at the intersection of nanotechnology and biomedical sciences, offering innovative approaches to diagnosis, treatment, and regenerative medicine. This review explores recent advancements in nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems, nanoscale diagnostics, and the use of nanomaterials in regenerative medicine. It highlights the diverse types of nanoparticles such as liposomes, polymeric nanoparticles, metallic nanoparticles, and dendrimers, each tailored for specific therapeutic applications including cancer therapy, cardiovascular diseases, and infectious diseases. The review also delves into the cutting-edge development of nano biosensors and point-of-care diagnostics that utilize quantum dots, gold nanoparticles, and carbon nanotubes to enhance sensitivity and specificity. Furthermore, it examines the role of nanofibers and scaffolds in tissue engineering and stem cell engineering for regenerative medicine. Despite the promising advancements, the review underscores the importance of addressing challenges related to toxicity, biocompatibility, and regulatory approval to fully realize the potential of nanomedicine in clinical settings.
