Abstract

Investigation was carried out on a 40 years old bridge subjected to a heavy splash zone and constructed across the Arabian creek of Navi Mumbai, India to assess the concrete deterioration of the structure and finding out the probable corrosion of reinforced steel in the concrete embedded. The structure was evaluated with the help of a half cell potentiometer, cover meter, and with an ultrasonic pulse velocity tester. Also, chloride content and sulfate content test was carried out and the detail investigation is presented in this article.
