Keywords:
Compassion, Vegetarian, SDG, Nature, Endangered SpeciesAbstract
Vegetarianism has been an important vision and ideal of Indian society. There is a need to create a policy to focus on this vision. This vision will ultimately help Indian society in becoming a compassionate society and will help in its transformation towards becoming a truly compassionate and caring society. This will ultimately help in achieving the goals of sustainable development also. A large number of animals are becoming extinct. The authors mention that it is not appropriate to make an animal extinct through hunting and then declaring that as an endangered species. The right approach would be to create a truly compassionate society so that other living beings can also survive and the ecosystem is preserved. This will help in complete transformation of Indian society. The authors discuss about the necessity of creating a vision and policy for the transformation of Indian society into a compassionate society.
