Abstract

This study examines the impact of artificial intelligence on contemporary literary expression and digital storytelling with particular attention to the evolving relationship between human creativity and machine intelligence. The rapid development of generative AI technologies has transformed literary production by enabling new forms of writing, narrative experimentation, translation and content dissemination across digital platforms. Drawing on examples from digital literature, interactive fiction, social media narratives, AI-assisted writing environments and multimedia storytelling, the study explores how artificial intelligence is reshaping traditional notions of authorship, creativity, reader engagement, and literary communication. The analysis demonstrates that AI does not function as a technological tool but as a collaborative creative agent that expands narrative possibilities and supports innovative forms of literary expression. The study further highlights the emergence of interactive and participatory literary cultures in which readers actively engage with texts through digital platforms, immersive environments and AI-generated narrative systems. By examining the convergence of artificial intelligence, digital media and literary practices, the paper argues that AI-driven innovation is reconfiguring storytelling structures, enhancing accessibility, facilitating the preservation of literary heritage and extending the global circulation of literary content. The study contributes to ongoing discussions on digital literary culture by positioning artificial intelligence as a transformative force in contemporary communication and creative production. It concludes that the future of literary expression will increasingly depend on collaborative interactions among writers, audiences, digital platforms and intelligent technologies, resulting in more dynamic, accessible, and participatory forms of storytelling.
