This article investigates the nature and impact of digital engagements on the undergraduate students of Vijayawada. The quantitative data were obtained from a structured questionnaire on Google Forms. The file of responses sent is a file with information on undergrads.
The paper covers things like demographic details, daily screen time, which digital platforms people prefer, why they use them, how they use them for school, how they manage their screen time, their grades, how well they focus, learning chances, talking with others, their social lives, and how being online affects them.
We used descriptive statistics like percentages and frequencies to look at the responses, and Chi-square tests to see how certain digital engagement patterns were linked to student outcomes. The results show that digital engagement has ups and downs; students said they often use digital platforms for entertainment and social media, but also found them helpful for looking up information, doing schoolwork, and finding learning opportunities. Problems mentioned include being easily distracted, sleep problems, and high screen time.
