Abstract

Cavitation is basically a process which occurs when the liquid pressure falls below the atmospheric vapor pressure. Due to this process, the performance of the material is effected, the efficiency of the machine also decreases and also there is damage to the material. In this paper, I analysed the effect cavitation in the hydraulic turbine, its effect, causes and how to minimize this effect it is believed that cavitation cannot be avoided but it can be minimized to some extent. There is also a literature review in which the work of the different researcher has been mentioned.
