Abstract

The current state of the environment is contributing to the expansion of environmentally responsible consumer behavior, which is growing at an increasing rate. Consumers now place a greater emphasis on doing their part to safeguard the environment. For this reason, an in-depth study on green buying behavior and their attitude towards green products is of utmost relevance in the modern world. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the function that consumer behavior plays in relation to ecotourism and green products. In addition to this, it seeks to discover and assess the impact of the level of awareness on the purchasing behavior of consumers. It was anticipated that there is a substantial association between the level of perception that consumers have and the purchasing decisions they make. An exploratory survey, consisting of both in-person and online questionnaires, was carried out to learn how eco-tourists think and feel while they are shopping for environmentally friendly goods. The findings showed that participants had a substantial level of discontent when buying eco-products in some locations because they believe that eco-selling occurs without sufficient attention on the principles that lie behind green marketing. The results of this study offered information on the significance of taking ecological considerations into account throughout the design process of consumer products. Because it is still unknown whether or not consumers are prepared to pay a premium for the “environmentally friendly” feature, not all businesses now provide products that are favorable to the environment. This study will attempt to develop the functional qualities together with product attributes connected to the environment, and it is hoped that this would cause a change in the paradigm that corporations operate under. If an ethically based approach can be effectively maintained, then ecotourism and conservation can coexist in nature in a way that is both sustainable and compatible.
